Be Thou My Vision
Someone once said that the whole purpose of man is to know God and to enjoy Him forever. We realize this is true we come to know God
by repenting of our sin and He saves us. The joy and assurance of salvation, or “first love”, that we experience is more than just menta
l ascent to a system of beliefs. It is the enjoyment of Gods’ very presence in our deepest being. Often, though, we find ourselves knowing Him
but not enjoying Him because of sin in our lives. May this prose remind us of the greatness of being a child of God and lead us back to our “first love”.
