Dear Praying partners,

We made the big move back after being in Manila for 8 mo. We are back in Palawan and just about done de-molding our house and getting rid of extra critters around. We’ve managed to get rid of 3 rats so far. It has been lots of work for me to clean out every cupboard and drawer. I had to throw out lots of things I left in drawers, because of mold. Tim is busy with meeting with folks and keeping up with his many emails. He helps lead our 65 families which he has to do a lot through emails now that we are not in Manila anymore. We both enjoy the opportunities to get together with our missionaries here on Palawan when they are coming in and out of their stations. We try to encourage them as well as our fellow missionaries who support those working in the tribes.

Tomorrow is our Bible Study with some young college students that a friend and I meet with weekly. We have been going over our Spiritual gifts. It was exciting to discover what gifts the Lord has given all 7 of them. Many had the gift of hospitality and the gift of Evangelism. Many show great leadership skills. We were invited to help in an out- reach their Christian Boarding house had on Campus. There were over 50 people there and a 17 yr old boy came to know the Lord. Praise Him! It was neat to see the kids we’ve been working with display those newly discovered gifts and to see them in action.

Farida, the 17 year old girl the Lord has given us to help, is on the far right of picture one. We are trusting the Lord for the funds (about $125 a month) to put her through College since she is an orphan. Her mom, died in jail and her dad died when she was 4. Farida has the gifts of Faith and Evangelism. She also is a leader and we see her growing by leaps and bounds in the Lord.

We met Farida through teaching the Bible in her High School. We had her and some other kids help us teach VBS in a shanty town(picture 3) near us last summer. They live in huts over the water. Vivian is one who attended VBS and we happened to be down there visiting and found her with a severely abscessed tooth.(picture 2) Bless her heart. We took her to the hospital and they treated her infection while we waited for the dentist to get back in town to pull the tooth. We PTL that she is all better now.

We appreciate your prayers for us. We need the Lord’s direction and wisdom in everything we do, as we desire to disciple these young people and as we also help and serve our fellow missionaries. We sincerely thank the Lord for you and your desire to be a part of our ministry. Without your support and prayers we wouldn’t be able to help them. We feel blessed to be a part of what God is doing here in the Philippines. We’d love to hear from you and know how we can pray for you too. We sense time is short and we strive to be faithful with what He has for us to do. Remember we are praying for you too.

Anxiously Awaiting His Return, Tim and Peggy
